KIMA coagulation tubes with NA CITRATE 3.2% 0.20ml (Vol. 2ml; 13X75mm; blue cap). The collection tubes are used for biochemical and immunological tests. The tubes have a leak-proof cap to protect against direct or aerosol contamination. Packaging: 100 pcs/box - 1000 pcs/carton.
KIMA Vacutest tubes are made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) - a transparent material that allows visual inspection of blood and other biological fluids. The tubes are resistant to mechanical impact, centrifugation and cracking if accidentally dropped during use.
To improve the quality of coagulation test results, Vacutest KIMA produces tubes with thicker walls (special Vacutest IN technology). Vacutest IN tubes allow a higher level of blood to be collected in the tube than standard tubes of a similar volume, which further prevents possible platelet activation.
A special transparent polypropylene label, which covers the full height of the tube, prevents evaporation of the sodium citrate buffer solution and thus maintains a blood:anticoagulant ratio of 9:1 throughout a long shelf life of up to 12 months.
This patented combination of Vacutest IN technology and a transparent polypropylene label guarantees the reliability of laboratory tests.
The tube cap consists of a pierceable butyl rubber stopper and an outer plastic cap. The stopper has a recess at the puncture site to protect the operator from possible contact with blood.
The outer cap is made from polyethylene and serves to protect against aerosols and splashes, prevents operator contact with the rubber stopper and allows you to replace the cap easily.
The special shape of the outer cap allows the same holder to be used for tubes with caps of 13 mm and 16 mm in diameter.

When several blood samples need to be collected from a single patient, the specific blood collection procedure recommended by CLSI (Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute) must be strictly followed to rule out any possibility of cross-contamination of the samples with the contents of the tubes.
Because red-cap tubes contain a clot activator (silicon dioxide), the blood collection procedure begins with a sample that is more sensitive for coagulation studies - blue-cap tubes. When using butterfly blood collection needles, some of the blood remains in the catheter, which can disturb the blood/anticoagulant ratio, especially if the blood is collected into a sodium citrate tube. To obtain reliable coagulation test results, the first tube must be discarded. The investigations are performed from a second tube. The discarded tube can be either a tube without additive (white cap)* or a coagulation tube.
The measured vacuum ensures that the tube is filled with a well-defined volume of blood. For additional control of the blood volume, each tube has a level mark on the label.
In accordance with international ISO, EN and CLSI recommendations, a filling error of +/- 10% relative to the fill-level mark on the label is permitted.
After blood collection, the contents of the tube must be mixed thoroughly to prevent clot formation and partial coagulation of the blood.
Caution! All tubes must be mixed, including those containing a clot activator.
The storage time of samples collected from patients depends on the type of investigations/tests and the stability of the specific analytes.
Samples requiring pre-centrifugation must be placed in the centrifuge no later than 2 hours after collection.
KIMA coagulation tubes with NA CITRATE 3.2%, with a plastic tube that has a pre-measured vacuum and is sterile inside.
All tubes have a leak-proof cap to protect against direct or aerosol contamination. The stopper diaphragm is made of soft rubber to prevent puncture incidents.
