Why choose the sterile urine container

The urine container is a non-sterile container designed for collecting and transporting samples of urine, sputum, cerebrospinal fluid, mucus and other biological materials for general laboratory testing.

The biological fluid container is made of ultra-pure polypropylene. The material is non-toxic, transparent, sufficiently pliable, moisture-resistant and resistant to oils and solvents at a temperature of 130 C, and is designed for manufacturing tubes and containers used in medicine.

The urine container has a hermetically sealed red lid that provides reliable protection against leakage and ensures the closed container remains fully sealed during transport of biological material. The container lid is made of polyethylene. The material is non-toxic, pliable and particularly resistant to impacts and centrifugation.

The packaging and container are marked in accordance with UNI CEI EN ISO 15223-1, “Symbols to be used with medical device marking. Requirements for labelling and information supplied.”
There is a label on the transparent container wall for recording sample and patient information.

Precautions and use

Biological substances must be treated as hazardous fluids. After use, the container becomes potentially infectious waste, which must be collected, stored and disposed of with all necessary measures taken to prevent infection.

Sterilisation: By irradiation.
